General Information
International applicants who do not have a German
secondary school degree and who are not participating in an
exchange programme must meet certain conditions related to
their language skills and the subject they intend to study.
Additionally, the educational background and the country of
origin effect the admission procedure.
We provide further information on the following pages.
Financial Issues
The majority of regular international students is coming
to Germany without grants or scholarships. They must bring
proof to the local authorities that they are able to
finance their stay. Therefore they must provide a proof of
their financial resources ("Finanzierungsnachweis") once a
year.
Grants and Scholarships
The University of Siegen itself does not provide grants
and scholarships but there are several institutions and
organizations which support highly qualified international
students. Further information on the costs of living and
studying and a list of links is available
