The project is organized in 11 Workpackages

WP1 covers the requirement specification, the conceptual design and the modeling of the DREAMS architectural framework including a specification of services required to build a mixed-criticality system. The output from WP1 will be used as basis for the definition of the development methods in WP4 and WP5.

WP2 and WP3 are dedicated to the development of virtualization technologies based on the state-of-the-art of multi-core platforms and distributed networked platforms. Virtualization of cluster-level resources is the focus of WP3.

WP4 develops algorithms and tools for model-transformation, scheduling and analysis for mixed-criticality systems based on models from WP1.

WP5 focuses on certification based on a reuse methodology with automated traceability of information.

WP6, WP7 and WP8 are dedicated to setting up and assemble demonstrators in the avionics, industrial, and healthcare domain for the validation of the DREAMS approach. These WPs will design and implement prototypical mixed-criticality systems using and evaluating the results from WP1-WP5.

WP9, WP10 and WP11 are three supportive non-technological WPs. WP9 concentrates the efforts for community building and standardization, while WP10 addresses dissemination, exploitation and training. WP9 and WP10 differ based on the kind of involvement of the project environment and there will be close interactions with WP9 and the technical WPs. WP10 supports the scientific dissemination and industrial exploitation of DREAMS results and furthermore coordinates training activities. WP11 is dedicated to project management.
