Filip graduated at University "St Cyril and Methodius",Institute of Chemistry in Skopje, R Macedonia (Dipl. Chem. Eng.) in 2002. In the same year he was employed as research and teaching assistant at the Institute of Chemistry and continued his postgraduate studies till 2005 when he obtained the scientific degree Magister (Msc). He joined AC group winter semester 2005 and his current research is focused on synthesis and characterization of new chalkogenide compounds mainly alkaline metal-M²⁺-hydrogenoxoselenates, and mixed transition metal - main group metal chalkogenides. He is DAAD scholarship holder, and member of GDCh (Gesellschaft Deutscher Chemiker) and ACS (American Chemical Society).
