AStA: General Students' Committee
The General Students' Committee (Allgemeiner Studierendenausschuss - AStA) is the acting executive board and the external representing agency of the student body. The AStA also offers support with regard to general questions, semester fee, and student ticket, provides legal advice and issues certified (transcript) copies.
AStA-Shop
The AStA-Shop on Adolf Reichwein Campus in room AR-M 011 provides writing materials at affordable prices. For information and opening hours visit the web page of the AStA-Shop.
Student Representatives (Fachschaftsrat - FSR)
Student representatives (Fachschaftsrat – FSR) are elected by students of the respective departments or schools. The FSR represents the students of their department or school, offers support and guidance to fellow students, and organizes field trips and events.

Erasmus Student Network
The Erasmus Student Network (ESN) supports international exchange students at the University of Siegen and provides regular meetings, theme nights, events and trips during orientation days and lecture period.
BIPOC Society
Founded in August 2020, BIPOC Society is an autonomous department committed to increasing racial representation and equality for Black and Indigenous people and People of Colour (BIPOC) at Siegen University.

Music, Theater, Art and Culture
uniEnsembles
The uniEnsembles (Choir, Orchestra, Big Band, JRP Ensemble) of the Music Department and the university play at university concerts and cooperate with local choirs or the Philharmonic Orchestra of South Westphalia (Philharmonie Südwestfalen). Interested participants are always welcome!
Artgërecht KunstWertSchätzen
The student initiative Artgërecht KunstWertSchätzen organizes workshops and events covering music, literature, dance, and improvisational theater.
Culture Department (Kulturcafé)
The University of Siegen’s Cultural Department is unique within Germany in that it is separate from the AStA: in the “University’s living room” everyone can get creative and organize events. The Kulturcafé (Culture Café) is a venue for concerts, cabaret, drama and reading sessions.
Television and Film
CampusTV
CampusTV is the student television program at the University of Siegen which goes live on air in various formats at regular intervals. All programs are produced at the Center for Media and Information Technology (ZIMT).
Film Work Shop (Filmwerkstatt)
The student initiative Filmwerkstatt is a group of students and movie fans who support each other in producing their own films and discuss technical problems, esthetic questions, or difficulties in production.
The Golden Monaco (Der Goldene Monaco)
Der Goldene Monaco is the university’s film award. It has been organized by students for students on a voluntary basis since 2002. Students of all faculties can submit their short films in order to compete in one of the six categories or join one of the various planning teams.
Panoptikum
The Panoptikum is the student film club at the University of Siegen. Recent and independent films, classics, short films and musical films all form part of the programme of this cinema with a difference. For the student-friendly price of €3.00, you might just discover a gem of a film.
Radio
Campus Radio Radius 92.1
Radius 92.1 is the student campus radio station. Students produce magazine programs about media, Music, local News, culture etc.
Journalism
The Literalisten carry on the tradition of the university magazine. The online magazine covers reports, commentaries, interviews, and reviews as well as literary genres such as prose, poetry or plays.
mediaZINE , the University of Siegen’s media magazine, offers a cross-media presentation in the fields of print, radio and internet. The printed edition of the mediaZINE is published every semester and reports on the happenings at the university and the media-related courses in Siegen.
Engineering
The eLab operates its own small electronic lab for students, offering the possibility to improve technical craftsmanship by gathering experience. There are two tables, each with soldering-, measuring- and PC-workstations, where you can work and experiment.
The University of Siegen’s Formula Student racing team has been developing, constructing and maintaining its own racing car since 2008 and has already won the newcomers’ award at Hockenheimring. Students of all faculties can join the Speeding Scientists.
Consulting
Study & Consult is the student corporate consultancy of the University of Siegen. Students from various disciplines are involved in the consulting projects, developing innovative and customized business solutions. The members of the association are provided with training and work on business solutions.
Network
Verband Deutscher Wirtschaftsingenieure - Hochschulgruppe Siegen is a point of contact for students studying Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, International Project Planning, Economic Sciences and Business Computing, that supports students in sharing their experience, building networks and planning their professional career.
Equality and Diversity
queer@uni
queer@uni represents the interests and concerns of lesbian, gay, queer, bisexual and transgender students. They organizes lectures, discussion groups, film evenings, parties and much more. Further information can be found on the queer@uni homepage.
Wo.Men – the autonomous women’s department
