Abstrakt:

A numerical semigroup is just a co-finite submonoid of the nonnegative integers, under addition. Despite being so simple mathematical objects, they hide very challenging combinatorial and computational problems (among others, coming from various areas of mathematics). My aim is to use the GAP packages 'numericalsgps' and 'intpic' to introduce the numerical semigroups, as well as to show some experiments.
