Open Science, Open Future

What if research results and research publications were open to all, without publishers regulating the payment limit, as is often the case today? How would the general public benefit, as, e.g., young junior researchers? These questions are discussed at the University of Siegen by Dr. Bernard Rentier, former Rector of the University of Liège.

Following the presentation, this year's prizes will be awarded to five outstanding junior researchers: the Dirlmeier Foundation Awards, the Siegen Prize for International Young Talent and the DAAD Prize. In addition, the House of Young Talents of the University of Siegen welcomes its new scholarship holders.

The Prorectorate for Research and Junior Scientific Staff organizes the event together with the House of Young Talents. The lecture and the discussion are in English, the rest of the event is held in German.
