Members
AWiPro thrives on private commitment. Its members are mostly former or current university members who pay an annual contribution. Currently there are about 55 members. The annual budget is about 6,000-7,000 euros. The idea was born in the 1970s. The members of the association today come from all faculties and departments of the university.

Executive Board
The board of the association includes:

AWiPro can help at short notice and unbureaucratically in emergeny situations. This was particularly evident in the Corona pandemic, in which many part-time jobs were cut, and foreign students, for example, were often left completely destitute. Typical cases of support are, for example, social emergencies during the completion of master's or doctoral theses.

AWiPro pursues the goal of "supporting researchers and also employees who have fallen on hard times through no fault of their own by (co-)financing projects". The scientific aspect of the partially funded projects is given priority. The funding period is between two months and one year.

Applications for support can be submitted by members of the association.

We, who generally work and live in secure employment relationships, can do something ourselves for scientists in emergency situations.

You can help:
» through your membership of AWiPro.
» by keeping an eye out for projects that are eligible for funding (Who is in need and requires support for his/her scientific project?)
» through tax-privileged donations, e.g. also in the form of donations on the occasion of anniversaries, birthdays, retirement, etc.
» by spreading the idea of AWiPro and advertising for memberships / donations, e.g. by distributing our flyer.

Membership
With your membership you support the goals of AWiPro. Your support is tax deductible. As a member, you can of course influence the specific work of AWiPro and are invited to the annual general meeting.
Minimum contribution: 60 € per person/year
Typical membership contribution: 15 € per month = 180 €/year

To become a member, please complete the declaration of membership and submit it to the secretary or the chairman of AWiPro.

Donations
Of course, you can also make a donation to AWiPro or solicit donations for the association on special occasions, regardless of whether you are a member or not.
