Counselling for Doctoral Researchers

The HYT offers individual counselling to doctoral researchers and helps with all questions that may arise during this phase of their academic career. In a personal, confidential conversation, for example, the following topics can be discussed:

• Why does a supervision agreement ("Betreuungsvereinbarung") make sense?
• How do I finance my doctoral project?
• How do I write a convincing proposal?
• How can I (finally) finish my dissertation?
• What do I have to keep in mind regarding the “Wissenschaftszeitvertragsgesetz (WissZeitVG)”?
• What can I do in case of conflicts with my supervisor?
• What do I have to be aware of in terms of "good scientific practice" in my work?
• Which career opportunities are there within and outside the university?
