The need for orientation in the postdoc phase in academia is not uncommon: What happens next when my temporary employment contract expires? Will I stay in science? What paths can I take outside academia? How do I become more visible as an academic? How do I prepare for the next steps in my career? How do I raise external funds? How can I deal with stressful situations or conflicts?

In order to better support academics in the postdoc phase in clarifying these and other questions, the House of Young Talents offers a coaching module specifically for postdocs employed at the University of Siegen. The coaching sessions, which are individually tailored to the needs of interested postdocs, are intended to support academics in the postdoc phase with questions on topics such as orientation, profile strengthening, career planning and work-life balance, taking into account the specifics of an academic career and, if desired, also with a view to non-university career paths.
