HYT Certificate Programme

Please note that very good German language skills are required for participation in the certificate programme, as most of our events take place in German.

Boost Your Career!

Doctorate - but which career path do I take now? To help you consider and prepare for different options, the House of Young Talents offers a certificate programme. The aim is to support and qualify academics on their career paths. All advanced doctoral candidates as well as all postdocs and junior professors of the University of Siegen are invited to apply for the programme. Participation in the certificate programme is free of charge.

The following specialisations are possible:

• Science Management

  The professional field of science management has not only enjoyed increasing popularity in recent years, but also a strong professionalisation. Occupying the interface between research and management requires a special competence profile, which is to be sharpened by the certificate.

• Leadership and management for researchers

  Even on the way to a professorship, a good publication list and successful applications for external funding are not always sufficient these days. Excellent research requires modern team building and leadership as well as competent management. These skills can be developed with the help of the HYT certificate programme.

• Qualification for professional fields in business and society

  A diverse and broad job market also beyond the university awaits academics. The certificate programme helps them to acquire the necessary additional qualifications and to make the competences they have already acquired visible. This certificate specialisation is offered at cooperating universities throughout NRW. You can find more information here.
