The Corfu Summer Institute meetings consist of a series of events aiming in the training of young researchers as well as the exchange of knowledge and the collaboration between experienced researchers.

The workshop aims to bring together experimental and theoretical researchers interested in interconnecting different quantum systems for quantum information science, in particular solid-state and atom-optical devices.

DPG Spring Meeting 2013

DPG Spring Meeting of the Atomic, Molecular, Plasma Physics and Quantum Optics Section will take place in Hannover.

The conference is located at the Leibniz Universität Hannover. The talks will take place in the main building of the university.

IonTech: Techniques for Trapped Ions

COST-IOTA Workshop, Siegen, 7 - 9 May 2012

Trapping of charged or neutral atoms and molecules is essential for very diverse research fields including as trophysics, chemistry, precision measurements in physics, and quantum information science. In addition, mass spectrometers widely used in research and industry often rely on similar technologies. This workshop will address technical challenges in trapping and manipulating particles that arise in many such experimental applications independent of their particular research background. Emphasis will be on modern laser light and microwave/ radio-frequency sources and their use in sophisticated trapping experiments, as well as cutting-edge micro- structured traps. This workshop will offer tutorials particularly suited for students and postdocs who wish to gain an overview of and insight into these experimental techniques and technology.

Participants are encouraged to contribute to the workshop by presenting their work in the form of a poster.
