Inhalt

Cross-cultural skills have gained increasing significance as globalisation becomes the norm rather than the exception. It has become an indisputable fact, that cross-cultural & soft skills are as decisive for the success of an international orientated enterprise as in conventional hard quantitative knowledge such as accounting.

The interactive workshop with audience participation will demonstrate case studies from multi cultural organizations and working teams. How cross-cultural variables - observed in global trade and international working environments - pose significant challenges for the success and survival of the global enterprise will be one important question.

Matthews Banda, mechanical engineer and graduate of the University of Siegen is currently advisory board member of the international company „Trans-Africa-Invest“ and a consultant in Lean Management and Cross-Cultural Management. He has served from 2004 to 2007 as the president and board member of the Process Industries Division, one of the divisions of the Institute of Industrial Engineers (IIE) whose headquarter is in Atlanta, USA. He has more than 10 years experience in major multi cultural German and international companies, car manufacturers and automotive suppliers.
