In a pub in a remote part of Ireland, three local men and the barman exchange scary stories to impress Valerie. The young woman has recently moved to the area from Dublin. As the alcohol flows and the stories get scarier, it becomes clear that Valerie has something on her mind. She has a story to tell that will captivate everyone.

Conor McPherson's play "The Weir" beautifully combines eerie tales of the supernatural with the banter of a small community in the heart of rural Ireland.
