The University of Siegen announces, through the House of Young Talents, scholarships to support excellent doctoral researchers.

(18 April 2023) The House of Young Talents (HYT), the postgraduate centre of the University of Siegen, announces up to five doctoral scholarships within the framework of the HYT Young Academy scholarship programme. The deadline for applications is 1 June 2023, 12:00 (noon). Funding starts on 1 October 2023. Excellent (prospective) doctoral researchers at the beginning of their dissertation project will be supported. The scholarship programme HYT Young Academy is a support programme for the entry into a scientific career at the University of Siegen and consists of financial and non-material support.

The doctoral scholarships are awarded across faculties and subjects. Scholarship recipients get 1500 EUR per month for up to three years. In addition, study- or research-related expenses, e.g. for books or research and conference trips, can be reimbursed up to 1500 EUR per funding year. In addition to the financial support, non-material support is an important component. There is an interdisciplinary programme of events for the scholarship recipients to support the first steps into an academic career.
