HYT semester programme published

The House of Young Talents (HYT) is once again offering a variety of events in the winter semester 2025/2026, focusing not only on project management and leadership, but also on communication skills and career planning.

(14 October 2025) The events, most of which are offered in person, are complemented by a number of online courses, including a workshop on the impostor phenomenon in academia or salary negotiations for scientists. In the “Wissenschaftliche Karriere im Fokus” series launched in the winter semester 2024/2025, in which professors from various faculties and subjects at the University of Siegen report on their personal experiences as academics, the focus this semester is on the topic of “Der Weg zur ersten Professur”. The workshop “Design Thinking” deals with systematic approaches to creative problem solving, while the workshop “Schlagfertigkeit und Konfliktmanagement in der Wissenschaft“ provides an overview of practical tools for acting quickly, confidently and effectively even in difficult conversational situations.
