Registration
Registration at the University of Siegen (International Registrar's Office)
After admission to a degree program of your choice, enrollment follows via the online portal unisono.
How do I enroll after I have been admitted?
You enroll for the first
time at the University of Siegen in the online
portal unisono. Here, it is essential
that you get in touch with a German statutory health
insurance at the same time in order to obtain a public
health care scheme or, alternatively, to apply for an
exemption from statutory health care. Participants of the
preparatory German course (DSH preparation) are requested
to get in touch with a private health care provider in
Germany. For more information with regard to health
insurance, please view here.
If you have not obtained your school qualification or
university degree in Germany (foreign students), and are
enrolling for a German course, specialized studies, or
doctorate with a degree in Siegen, please follow
this Unisono-Tutorial.
If you are enrolled for one or two semesters as an exchange
student (e.g. through the Erasmus + program) at the
University of Siegen, but you want to graduate in your
country of origin afterwards, please follow
this Unisono-Tutorial.
If you are already enrolled in a study-preparatory German
course or another study program at the University of
Siegen, please use the application
form or contact the International Student Registry
Office. In this case, a new registration in the online
portal unisono is no longer necessary.
