During the Studies
During Lecture Period
Learning Agreement
Hand in your Learning Agreement within 4 weeks after the start of lecture period. Make sure to include all courses you registered for. If your initial study plan has already been confirmed by your home university before your studies in Siegen, document all changes (added or deleted courses) in the section "During Mobility".
Registration for Exams
To complete a course you
must take an exam. Depending on the faculty or department,
course and credit points to be achieved, different forms of
examination are offered, e.g. exams, papers, presentations,
etc. Talk to your teacher or professor or refer to your
examination office if you have any doubts or questions
about which exam to take or when the exam will take place.
Exchange students of the School of Arts and
Humanities use the form provided by the
Exmamination Office of Faculty I (Registration for Exams
in unisono-Courses - Non-degree) to register for exams.
Exchange students of the School of Economic
Disciplines use the form provided by the
Examination Office of Faculty III (Registration for
Non-Degree Students).
Exchange students of the School of Education,
Architecture and the Arts and the School
of Science and Technology need to register their
exams at their examination office in due time.
Extension of Student Exchange
If you plan to extend
your studies abroad at Siegen University, please contact us
in good time. If an extension is possible, we will need a
written confirmation from your home university that you may
stay longer than originally planned. Please note that a
student exchange is limited to a maximium of two semesters
of stay.
Remember to apply for an extension of your visa in due time
and, if applicable, renew or extend your lease, insurance
policies and other contracts accordingly.
End of Lecture Period
Re-Registration
After the end of the
lecture period an email is sent to your student account for
re-registration (Rückmeldung). The email includes
information on transfer of the semester fee and payment
deadline. By transferring the semester fee you re-register
as student of the University of Siegen and
thus register for your second semester of exchange.
Re-Registration Deadlines:

semester: 3. September
» summer
semester: 3. March
Students who stay only one semester do not need to
transfer the semester fee for a second
semester!
