Workshop time-management [ENG] 28th Nov 2020, 11th Dec 2020, 8th Jan 2021
Learn how to build up working routines, how to create efficient time schedules and many other skills about a good time management for your University life! We will offer this workshop twice: one in English and one in German
Most students start out each new semester of school with high expectations. They envision themselves being successful in their studies but they fail to put together a realistic plan, or establish a routine, that will enable them to achieve academic success. There are only so many hours in a day, days in a week, and weeks in a term, particularly if you work part or full time and still want to meet with friends. But if you don't pay attention, the end of the semester will arrive before you know it – catching you by surprise. To prevent from such failures this hands-on workshop teaches self- and time management skills which are useful to build up working routines and create realistic time schedules.
To do so the participants reflect which time-management type they are and under which conditions they perform most productively. They analyze their workload, identify personal “time robbers”, learn to set priorities and handle their tasks effectively and efficiently. Apart from this the workshop focuses on work-life balances and the question how to keep up motivation.
The workshop´s methods include individual and group work, input and plenum discussions and the attendees will profit from sharing their experiences with peers and with the trainer. In addition they will leave the course with a “first-aid-kit” containing their individual remedies against the smaller or larger setbacks of student life.
