Due to the amount of requests from filmmakers who would like to submit their films and were not able to match the early deadline, KALIBER35 Munich International Short Film Festival announces an extension of the call for entries for the upcoming edition - 20th to 26th of June 2013: the new deadline will be on Sunday the 10th of February 2013.

The festival team is very much pleased with the positive feedback in terms of number and quality of the works so far received and hope to meet the requests of those filmmakers who couldn't send their films yet, thus giving them the chance to participate.

All film makers with a film in the competition will be invited to Munich to attend the festival, meet the local audience as well as local and international directors and enjoy the atmosphere of the most famous beer gardens of the world. Also they will compete to win valuable awards in cash, kind or services.

Please, remember that KALIBER35 accepts submissions of non-German language films of all genres (fiction, animation, documentary, experimental, etc.) from any country. Please note that all non-English films must have English subtitles. Also, submitted films must not have been shown in Bavaria at a festival, in a theatre, on television or on the internet before, and should not exceed a length of 15 minutes.

To submit a film, please register at reelport.com - after registering, you will be guided through the necessary steps, from the entry of simple data requests to the upload of your video file. You may also send a DVD preview copy to the address mentioned on the reelport website. Please do not send your preview copy directly to the festival - it would not be considered.

Also, we would like to remind you that if you don't have a suitable film ready, there's another way to take part in the festival: for the third time, the Munich Film Society organizes this year a Kino-Sports-Cup called KURZ&KNAPP (SHORT&TIGHT), challenging filmmakers to write, shoot, edit and complete a short film in 35 hours. All films will be screened during the festival and compete for valuable awards. 2013 findet Münchens Internationales Kurzfilmfestival KALIBER35 vom 20. bis zum 26. Juni 2013 statt. Die Münchner Filmwerkstatt freut sich über die bereits zahlreich eingegangenen Einsendungen und verlängert aufgrund des hohen Andrangs die Frist für die Wettbewerbseinreichungen bis zum 10. Februar. Filmemacher aus aller Welt sind aufgerufen, ihre Kurzfilme über die Plattform Reelport.com einzureichen - deutschsprachige Filme sind beim Internationalen Wettbewerb allerdings nicht zugelassen. Aus den Einreichungen wird auch in diesem Jahr wieder ein spannendes Programm aus 35 bayerischen Premieren in den Geschmacksrichtungen SWEET, SALTY, SOUR, BITTER und UMAMI zusammengestellt. Für alle Filmbegeisterten bietet sich wie jedes Jahr auch die Möglichkeit, selbst beim Festival mitzuwirken. Die Filmwerkstatt sucht tatkräftige Unterstützung, insbesondere in technischen Angelegenheiten, aber auch bei Presse- und Öffentlichkeitsarbeit, der Betreuung internationaler Gäste, bei der Durchführung des Festivals vor Ort und vielen weiteren Tätigkeiten.
