Register Now for Fall Break 2022 Childcare

Childcare during autumn break will be provided at the University of Siegen from October 4–14. Registration is already open.

It might feel like summer break childcare at the University of Siegen just ended, but it's already time to start planning for fall break. Registration for this year’s fall session is now open, for childcare at the Glückaufschule from October 4–14. Signed and completed registration form can be submitted by email through September 4 to ferienbetreuung.gleichstellung@uni-siegen.de. Once that deadline has passed, registration requests from external parties will also be considered. The childcare is oriented toward children aged between six and 14 years.

There will be in-house artistic and creative workshops as well as external specialists in areas like fall crafts, nature pedagogy, and sporting activities in the school’s gymnasium. A graffiti workshop is also planned for the fall session. As has sadly been the norm of late, all plans are pending the Covid situation. Any updates will always be published on the homepage of the school vacation childcare team.

This year’s summer break childcare by the university's Equal Opportunity Office has just ended. Coordinator Bülent Cengiz looks back proudly on the work by his team: For the first time in years, more than 40 children of students, employees, and external parties could enjoy age-appropriate, play-based activities, with time for both individual and group learning.
