At home in the diversity of Europe
ATHENA celebrates the 50th anniversary of the University of Siegen with the event "At home in the diversity of Europe – an interactive introduction to intercultural competence and communication".
Combining seven European universities, interculturality is integral to ATHENA. On this year's Europe Day on 9 May 2022, students, staff, and all those who are interested can look together at different intercultural situations and learn about intercultural communication in an interactive way. The event will help to develop personal intercultural competence and reinforce the sense of tolerance and mutual understanding. It will also encourage to spend time abroad and to engage with people from different cultural backgrounds. This way, it contributes to a vibrant and diverse Europe.
The event takes place on Monday 9 May 2022 from 14.00 to 15.15 CEST. Participation is possible both in presence and online. The event venue is:
