EMINENT Welcome Days 2025

From October 1st to 2nd, the EMINENT Welcome Days took place on the beautiful island of Crete. We welcomed 26 new students from various countries, including Brazil, Mexico, Ecuador, Portugal, Egypt, Nigeria, Pakistan, Iran, Thailand, and India.

This new group of students is not only highly international — representing 17 countries from all over the world — but also extremely motivated to begin their EMINENT journey.

During the Welcome Days, the students learned more about life in Greece and the Hellenic Mediterranean University (HMU). The information provided will help them settle in on Crete and prepare them for the start of their studies. In addition, a current EMINENT student from the first cohort and representative of EMA shared her experiences and answered many questions from the new students.

Since the programme allows students to study at up to four different universities, representatives from NOVA University, the University of Siegen, the University of Orléans, and Vilnius Tech were also present. Each representative introduced the specialisation track offered at their university.

A sunny campus tour, along with a visit to the Venetian Walls of Heraklion, provided a wonderful conclusion to the two Welcome Days.
