International Week "Soft, digital & research skills"

From 15 - 19 May, the Hellenic Mediterranean University (HMU) will host its 10th International Week on the theme of "Soft, digital & research skills" in Chania, Greece. The aim of the International Week is to learn and improve skills that are in demand on the labour market and in academia.
Contents
The programme is multifaceted and application-oriented with international lecturers. Various workshops cover, among others, the following topics:
- Leadership in a team
- Motivation and talent development
- Managing difficult emotions
- How to apply Design Thinking
- Growth Mindset and Self-Talk
- How to behave in an interview session
In addition to the workshops, several cultural activities will take place on site.
Moreover, online seminars on digital skills will be offered on a weekly basis from March onwards. Participation in these seminars is voluntary.

Conditions of participation
Bachelor, master, and PhD students of all disciplines are eligible to participate, provided they are enrolled at University of Siegen.
Application
- Complete the application form by 13 March 2023
- Apply for funding from ATHENA by 13 March 2023. Please send the following documents to athena@uni-siegen.de:
- Your CV
- A letter of motivation (max. 500 words) in which you explain your interest in participation
The ATHENA team at University of Siegen will then check your application. You will receive feedback by 27 March 2023 as to whether you can be funded by ATHENA.
Funding
ATHENA supports you to cover the costs for travel, accommodation, and meals, similar to the Erasmus+ funding rates. You will receive information on how to account for your expenses and how to apply for an advance payment once your application has been approved. Please note that an acceptance for the International Week does not guarantee funding by ATHENA. Bachelor, master, and PhD students have the possibility to participate in the programme at their own expense.
