The degree program
The master's program in Christian Theologies in Ecumenical
Perspective provides you with in-depth aspects of Christian
theologies and their influences on European culture. The degree
program takes an inter-denominational standpoint. Topics are
therefore examined from the perspectives of both Roman Catholic
and Protestant theological traditions.
By changing perspectives, you will recognize the differences
and similarities between both religious traditions and learn to
understand the denominational influences and their social
effects in depth. Denominational differences remain visible,
but are discussed critically and constructively.
By studying the M.A. Christian theologies in Ecumenical Perspective you will acquire the ability to carry out an independent and critical examination and evaluation of religious beliefs and traditions under the conditions of a pluralistic society. With your studies, you will qualify for a variety of professional fields that are close to the topics of religion and society. They can work, for example, in political and social organizations, in institutions and associations of cultural life, in certain segments of the art business or exhibition sector, in the publishing or newspaper industry, in the area of public relations (in which questions of integration and coexistence of religions or even ethical questions be addressed), in aid organizations and in the area of development cooperation or migration and integration.

Studienorganisation
Subject examination regulations including study
plans and module descriptions
The Framework Examination Regulations (RPO-M) and the general
subject-specific regulations of the subject examination
regulations (PHIL-FPO-M) define the general regulations of
studying in Siegen and at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities.
In addition, the subject examination regulations of the
individual (partial) degree programs (FPOs) define the basic
structures of a (partial) degree program (e.g. admission
requirements and content to be studied). The examination
regulations are accompanied by curricula, which represent the
recommended exemplary course of study in the individual
subjects, as well as module descriptions (content-related
information on modules).
Students are automatically subject to the current version of an
FPO when they enroll for their first semester.
