Women Career Service
The Women Career Service aims to support and accompany every woman at university. In fact, women still have disadvantages, lower loans at work, are often unemployed or have temporary contracts. Furthermore, they really often work at low and middle positions and rarely at the highest ones.
Task:
- Better chances for women at work
- Awareness of your own strengths and potentials
- More motivation to develop your own action plans
- Knowledge of the requirements of the labour market
- Realization of the mechanisms excluding women in the workplace and development of a corresponding strategy
The Women Career Service offers female members of the University of Siegen the opportunity to systematically expand their professional and personal profile in workshops and events on career-relevant topics. The aim is to provide women with targeted support and guidance in their professional careers by teaching them relevant key skills.
The workshops are led by experienced female trainers who provide participants with valuable technical and insider knowledge as well as motivation and an awareness of their own strengths and potential. They provide support in the conscious perception and implementation of one´s own competencies in possible professional fields. The offer focuses on the areas of "study & career entry", "science & research", and "administration & management".
The Women Career Service also sees itself as an exchange platform for female university members and their concerns.
The website is currently being updated.
