HYT launches coaching module for postdocs

The need for orientation in the postdoc phase in academia is not uncommon: What happens next when my fixed-term contract expires? Will I stay in academia? What paths can I take outside academia? How do I become more visible as an academic? How do I prepare for the next steps in my career?

(9 June 2023) In order to better support academics in the postdoc phase in clarifying these and other questions, for example regarding the acquisation of third-party funding or dealing with stressful situations and conflicts, the House of Young Talents offers a coaching module specifically for postdocs employed at the University of Siegen. The coaching sessions, which are individually tailored to the needs of interested postdocs, are intended to support academics in the postdoc phase with questions on topics such as orientation, profile strengthening, career planning and work-life balance, taking into account the specifics of an academic career and, if desired, also with a view to non-university career paths.

Academics interested in coaching who are willing to contribute a maximum of 125 euros to the costs of a coaching (for up to three coaching sessions) can contact coaching-hyt@uni-siegen.de. Further information on the coaching module can be found here.
