HYT welcomes five new scholarship recipients

Five new doctoral students will take up a HYT Young Academy scholarship in the winter semester 2023/2024.

(17 October 2023) The House of Young Talents welcomes five new scholarship recipients whose doctoral projects convinced the selection committee to award the HYT Young Academy scholarships: Sophia Denker and Lisa Teresa Weinbrenner (Physics), Nastaran Farah Bakhsh (Chemistry), Jasmin Laura Gerfen (Biology) and Philipp Spelten (Mechanical Engineering).

In addition to attractive financial support, the scholarship recipients of the HYT Young Academy can expect an interesting programme every semester as part of the non-material support, which includes lectures from various disciplines and practical contexts, workshops or joint visits to cultural institutions in Siegen (e.g. the Museum of Contemporary Art or the Apollo Theatre).

At the joint kick-off event at the beginning of October, the new scholarship recipients were able to get to know each other and share their experiences.
