Notice: Funding programme for young researchers in the field of applied giftedness research
In October 2023, the Karg Foundation will announce the William Stern Programme, a funding programme for young scientists in the field of applied giftedness research.
(2 November 2023) The William Stern Programme aims to stimulate new research in the field of giftedness and to attract researchers to the topic. A total of up to 500,000 euros per year is available for projects in giftedness research. The aim of the programme is to generate new research in the field of giftedness and to find answers to central questions in applied giftedness research with a strong network of young researchers.
The focus is on answering key questions about the promotion of giftedness in childhood and adolescence that have not yet been adequately addressed by research and practice. The relevant disciplines include above all psychology, educational science and pedagogy. Possible interfaces exist with other disciplines from the social and educational sciences as well as the human sciences.
In the William Stern Programme, doctoral students conduct research independently or in tandem with a postdoc. The programme is also aimed at young scientists who have not yet conducted research on giftedness. Only the young academics themselves can submit applications. The William Stern Programme thus offers them independent funding.
Deadline for applications is 10 January 2024.
Further information on the call for applications and the application procedure can be found here.
