Reception for International Junior Researchers
On November 19, 2019, numerous international doctoral candidates accepted the invitation to the Reception for international junior researchers at the University of Siegen, which was jointly organized by the Welcome Center and House of Young Talents.
(10 December 2019) First, Dr. Nina Fenn (Welcome Center) and Dr. Daniel Müller (House of Young Talents) spoke about the special features of the German science system and provided relevant information on doctoral studies in Germany. Afterwards, those present, some of whom were accompanied by their supervising professors, took advantage of the opportunity for informal exchange. In a relaxed atmosphere, contacts were made, experiences exchanged and stimulating discussions held. Staff of important contact points for international doctoral researchers at the University of Siegen were also present and available for questions and advice. The DAAD-funded reception for international junior researchers took place for the fourth time this year.
