Notice: Call for applications "Begegnungszonen" of the Joachim Herz Foundation

The Joachim Herz Foundation is once again promoting interdisciplinary exchange in the natural sciences through the "Begegnungszonen" programme. The programme supports events for young natural scientists.

(17 February 2022) With the "Begegnungszonen" programme, the Joachim Herz Foundation supports events that purposely promote exchange across disciplinary boundaries. The support includes, for example, a subsidy for travel expenses, accommodation or advertising costs.

This enables young scientists to get familiar with the working methods and procedures of neighbouring disciplines and to establish new contacts. The call for applications is aimed at organisers of events such as workshops, symposia, colloquia, meetings and conferences as well as summer and winter schools in the natural sciences. In addition to national events, events with a connection to the USA are also explicitly funded.
