Wir laden Sie herzlich zum online Vortrag „Berufsperspektiven in einem internationalen Arbeitsumfeld“ am 07.07.2020 um 18 Uhr ein. Unser Gastredner ist Herr Dr. iur. Patrick Stockebrandt.
Patrick Stockebrandt ist Wirtschaftsjurist und aktuell als Leiter des Fachbereichs Verbraucher & Gesundheit am cep (Centrum für Europäische Politik) in Freiburg tätig. Das cep ist die europapolitische Denkfabrik der „Stiftung Ordnungspolitik“. Vorrangiges Ziel des cep ist es, der Allgemeinheit Informationen und Hintergrundwissen über Politikvorhaben der EU zur Verfügung zu stellen, diese auf der Grundlage einer freiheitlichen und marktwirtschaftlichen Ordnungsökonomik zu bewerten und die wirtschaftlichen und rechtlichen Folgen dieser Vorhaben aufzuzeigen.
Herr Stockebrandt hat Wirtschaftsrecht an der Universität Siegen studiert und hat am Lehrstuhl für Öffentliches Recht von Herrn Prof. Dr. Gerd Morgenthaler eine Dissertation zum Thema „Haftung für aus Umweltverschmutzung resultierende Schäden in Production Sharing Agreements in Aserbaidschan“ verfasst. Er ist als Lehrbeauftragter weiterhin mit der Universität Siegen verbunden und gibt u.a. Workshops am Institute for Teaching and Learning Law (intll) der Fakultät III.
In seinem Vortrag wird Herr Stockebrandt zunächst seinen Werdegang skizzieren (er hat einige Auslandsaufenthalte während des Studiums absolviert und war auch in internationalen studentischen Initiativen aktiv). Im Anschluss wird er seine Tätigkeitsbereiche am cep vorstellen und auch darauf eingehen, wie seine berufliche Tätigkeit durch die Corona-Pandemie beeinflusst wurde. Abschließend werden Karriere & Praktikumsmöglichkeiten am cep aufgezeigt. Der Vortrag findet in englischer Sprache statt und wird vom DAAD aus Mitteln des Auswärtigen Amts gefördert.
Besonders empfohlen wird der Vortrag für Studierenden aus den Studiengängen M.A. Roads to Democracies, B.A. Europäische Wirtschaftskommunikation und B.A. Sozialwissenschaften in Europa.

Patrick Stockebrandt is a business lawyer and currently head of the Consumer & Health Department at the cep (Center for European Politics) in Freiburg. The cep is the European policy think tank of the "Stiftung Ordnungspolitik". The primary objective of the cep is to provide the general public with information and background knowledge on EU policy projects, to evaluate these projects on the basis of a liberal and market-based economic order and to point out the economic and legal consequences of these projects.
Mr. Stockebrandt studied commercial law at the University of Siegen and wrote a dissertation on the subject of "Liability for damages resulting from environmental pollution in Production Sharing Agreements in Azerbaijan" at the Chair of Public Law of Prof. Dr. Gerd Morgenthaler. He is still associated with the University of Siegen as a lecturer and gives workshops at the Institute for Teaching and Learning Law (intll) of Faculty III.
In his lecture, Mr. Stockebrandt will first outline his career (he completed several stays abroad during his studies and was also active in international student initiatives). He will then present his fields of activity at the cep and also discuss how his professional activities have been affected by the Corona pandemic. Finally, career & internship opportunities at cep are presented. The lecture will be held in English and is funded by the DAAD with funds from the Federal Foreign Office.
The lecture is especially recommended for students from the degree programs M.A. Roads to Democracies, B.A. Language, Communication and Economics in Europe and B.A. Social Sciences in Europe.
