Upcoming Excursion
2025: BRIGHTON
The 2025 English department excursion organised by Keith Bliss and Selvi Demir is going to Brighton on the south coast of England
from 11th September - 17th September 2025.
Travel is by coach and ferry.
The itinerary includes:
• Guided walking tour of Brighton
• Day trip to London
• Day trip to the Isle of Wight including Osborne House (Queen Victoria's summer residence) and a ride on a steam train (Harry Potter-style).
• Royal Pavilion, Brighton
The cost of the excursion is 530 €, which will be paid in June.
The price includes breakfast, accommodation, day trips and travel.
Registration is via Unisono (Exkursion 1ANGL4029V).
When the first phase of Unisono registration ends, applicants will receive further instructions.
Applicants will be contacted at the beginning of April when they will find out if they have received a place. Anyone who does not receive a place immediately will be added to the waiting list and will still have a chance to join the excursion if someone on the main list drops out.
There will be two evening meetings before the excursion (8th May and 3rd July) and one meeting after it (16th October).
All participants must attend all three meetings to receive credit points.
Lehramt Bachelor students can earn 3 CP for the "Presentation Skills" module element, and most of the excursion days count as part of your time abroad.
There will be an obligatory Blockseminar for Lehramt students on Saturday, 24th May, in addition to the other three meetings.
Fach-B.A. students, e.g. LKM and SK, can earn 9 CP for the excursion module of Studium Generale.
