Individuals
KA 131 – Mobility within Program Countries (Europa)
The ISA department coordinates the University of Siegen’s
institutional application. There are four types of
mobility:

KA 171 – Mobility within Partner Countries (weltweit)
This program activity facilitates global collaboration. The
sub-projects are administered by the ISA department as one
consolidated institutional proposal. The department offers
support during the proposal phase, including tips and

Erasmus+: Key Action 2 – Partnerships and

Prior to submission to the DAAD:
Once the project and, if applicable, the people involved
have been reviewed under export control law, the
International Office will obtain the Endorsement by the
University Management on your behalf. Therefore,
please allow sufficient time (approximately one to two
weeks) for the review and approval processes prior the
deadline. Please also note that project applications with
the Focused Partnerships of the University of
Siegen may have priority, whereas projects with other
universities may not receive the endorsement by the
university management. Please contact the head of
department as early as possible for clarification!
At-Risk Doctoral Candidates and Researchers
The Welcome Center coordinates the nomination of the
at-risk doctoral candidates for the DAAD's Hilde Domin
Program (additional information here). The Research Support Office
coordinates application by the University of Siegen for
at-risk researchers under the aegis of the Philipp Schwartz
Initiative, a program of the Alexander von Humboldt
Stiftung (additional information can be found here). Potential hosts for at-risk
doctoral candidates can contact Dr. Nina Fenn directly;
potential hosts for at-risk researchers should please
contac Dr.
Nadine Hoffmann directly.
Other Funding Programs

It is organized into grants within German for Incomings at all stages of their career
and grants for abroad for Outgoings at all levels of their
careers.
The Welcome Center at the University of Siegen is part of
the EURAXESS network, which provides general information
about funding and hosting opportunities, including
advertisement of postings.
The Research Service at the University of
Siegen offers personalized information, consulting,
support, and coaching in all aspects of research-based
project applications to all grant programs offered by the
federal and state ministries, the EU within its current
framework program for research and innovation, the German
Research Foundation (DFG), as well as various foundations
such as the Alexander von Humboldt-Stiftung. The office can
also arrange for registration with the FIT (Research,
International Affairs, and Transfer) email information
service.
Export Controls and Foreign Trade Law
International projects are subject to the export control
regulations and foreign trade law. The IO can provide
general information about risk assessment related to
partnerships and on projects involving embargo states. Ours
colleagues from Division 1 (Procurement and Customers)
can provide detailed information on export controls.
