Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programmes (BIP)
Students completing a Blended Intensive Programme abroad are eligible to apply for Erasmus+ funding. On this page you find a list of upcoming Blended Intensive Programmes (if there are any at the moment). Please note: You first register with the partner university, where the BIP takes place. After being accepted by them, you contact Madeleine Höfer from the International Office to apply for Erasmus+ funding.

| Topic | This BIP offers a focused introduction to emerging materials, such as organic semiconductors, 2D materials, perovskites, and metal oxides, as well as their applications in energy harvesting and storage, sensing systems, and memristive devices. A scientific communication workshop will strengthen students’ personal and professional development, with an emphasis on effective oral and written presentation skills. Organized in conjunction with the Winter School of the Erasmus Mundus Programme EMINENT, the BIP will provide insights into the EMINENT ecosystem and the opportunities within this joint degree master’s programme. Onsite activities will include oral and poster sessions, as well as visits to labs at HMU and across Crete’s broader research community. The academic programme is complemented by cultural activities, including visits to the Palace of Knossos and the Historical Museum of Heraklion. |

| Topic | The Summer School explores the theme of the encounter between languages and cultures as a fundamental resource for dealing with the complexity of an interconnected society. To this end, crucial topics such as Heritage languages, bilingualism and multilingualism, language interference and interaction, as well as phenomena of applied linguistics, intercultural pragmatics, and discourse analysis will be discussed. The adopted interdisciplinary perspective will integrate the tools of linguistics, cultural studies, media studies, sociology, anthropology and ethnography, thus offering a broad and articulated view of the addressed phenomenon. Admission will be open to a maximum of 22 international senior Bachelor’s degree students (who have finished the 2nd year) and all Master’s degree students from any background related to: applied linguistics, cultural studies, communication studies, media studies, sociology, anthropology, ethnography. |

| Topic | The 2-week interdisciplinary summer school, NEMESI II - Futuristic Spaces and ArchiLectures: Depero scenarios for Trento aims to define and develop “ArchiLectures”, i.e. architectural readings investigating the intimate relationship between the Futurist avant-garde art in Trento and the architecture of its public space. The aim is to understand and reveal the city’s artistic and cultural roots, involving an international group of students who are asked to come up with design ideas for rethinking some of Trento’s most important public spaces: “ArchiLectures” as possible visions for a city oscillating between Futurist avant-garde and utopian architecture.
