AUSTRIA 

University of Vienna: univie: winter school for Cultural Historical Studies 2025

Topic

The topic of the winter school is “The Discovery of Modernity – Vienna Around 1900”. The univie: winter school takes place in Vienna, where traces of the outstanding culture of the late 19th and the beginning of the 20th century are still visible.

The two-week program combines first class academic courses with an extensive social and cultural program. Vienna’s rich cultural heritage, especially the museums, will lead to a thorough understanding of the input of the fin-de-siècle on the modernization of Europe.

Winter School fees are € 1,580 and include registration, tuition, and all planned excursions.
(External students have to pay the Austrian students' union fee of € 24.70 to be admitted to the University of Vienna and to enjoy insurance coverage).

Meiji University: Short-Term Japanese Language Programme (Winter 2025)

Keio University:Keio Short-Term Japanese Studies Program (KJSP) 2025

Topic
The Keio Short-Term Japanese Studies Program (KJSP) is a two-week program for international students (undergraduate and master's-level students) and Keio students to learn about Japan through collaboration.
By joining discussions and giving presentations on their cultures and societies, international students will also have a chance to discover their own countries from an outside perspective.
The partner university expects around 40 participants in total, 15 Keio students and 25 international students.

370,000 JPY (includes accommodation fee*)
*An additional fee of around 9,000 JPY will be charged by a company handling those payments.

 Stellenbosch University: Travel Photography

Through learning the basic principles and concepts of photography in addition to gaining knowledge about cameras you will improve your photographs. What better way to learn this art form, than by travelling through some of the most beautiful parts of South Africa and applying the skills and competencies attained during this course. All lectures will be presented by a professional photographer who will also accompany and guide students during practical sessions and while travelling.
This module should be viewed as one of enjoyment of one’s surroundings and attaining greater knowledge of the art of photography.
