The degree program
The master's degree program "Plural economics" is a consecutive full-time degree program with a regular study time of four semesters. Students can either choose the focus "Management and environmental design" or "Political economics". The students acquire competences partially in shared basic and required modules that serve to meet their specific interests, reinforce them and expand their knowledge.
Content
Management and environmental design
The plural management contains various theories, methods and
approaches of design and development of organizations.
Communication, ethics, decisions and organization development
form the basis of the focus. This is about systemic diagnosis,
design by interventions and reflexive learning. The business
fields include non-governmental organizations, authorities,
social companies and private companies.
Political economics
The focus of the subject "Political economics" is not only on
"classical concepts" but also on alternative schools of
thought, for example including (post)Keynesian, but also
post-growth and cultural-economic theory approaches.
The students are qualified to analyse and help design the
economic processes in their social and political dimensions.
The professional fields include work in ministries and
authorities as well as in labour unions, civilian
organizations, associations, elements and principles,
university facilities and business journalism.
Admission requirements
1) A first qualifying degree from the area of economics/business administration (Bachelor, Diploma, Magister)
2) equivalent examination with a sufficient economic or business administration share (e.g. state examination), at least completed with the grade satisfactory (3.0).

Examination regulations/degree plan/module
manuals/internship rules
Examination regulations (POs) specify the basic structures of a
degree program (e.g. admission requirements and contents to be
studied). Students are automatically subject to the current
version of their PO when they matriculate for their first
subject-related semester. This means that even if the PO
changes during their studies, the original version according to
which they matriculated will remain valid (provided that the PO
does not expire).
The respective degree plan is the recommended example progress
of the studies in individual subjects and is part of a PO.
Supplementary provisions and details for any module to be
studied can be found in the module manually (e.g. requirements
for taking a written test or content-related information on the
modules/events, ...).
The internship rules define the conditions under which the
required or optional internships must be completed.
We recommend at least looking at the study schedule for your
degree program before the lecture time starts, to ensure that
you know which modules are intended for the start of your
studies.
