Faculty-led Study Trips

PROMOS_gruppen

Currently we provide funding for faculty-led study trips with a maximum of 15 participants (undergraduate/graduate and PhD students of the University of Siegen). After consultation, study trips with up to 25 participants can be funded in exceptional cases. 

 

Application

Application Deadlines

First application round starts in December and ends mid-January. If additional funds are available (subject to funding commitment), a second call for application is published in summer semester.

Application Documents

Applications including all suporting documents have to be submitted online as well as in hard copy. 

Application Form >

The Online Application Form for Study Trips has to be completed via moveon. A copy of the application form as to be submitted in hard copy. 

Description of Study Trip >

Description of the planned study trip (template with short description, finance plan) has to be submitted online and in hard copy. Focus on the transfer of knowledge, region/country insights and encounter of students and reasearches/faculty in particular.  

List of Participants (planned)>

If partcipants have already been selected at the time of application, the List of Participants (without signatures) has to be submitted online and in hard copy.  

Travel Request Form >

The travel request formmust be submitted to the Travel Expenses Department (Dept. 1.2) in good time before the start of the trip. The form is available for download in the Form Center. If the travel request form has already been approved by the PROMOS application deadline, a copy should be added to the PROMOS application documents in soft and hard copy.t 

Field Trip Request Form>

The field trip request form must be submitted to the Travel Expenses Department (Dept. 1.2) in good time before the start of the trip. Please note the excursion guidelines and info-sheet available for download in the Form Center. If the field trip has already been approved by the PROMOS application deadline, a copy should be added to the PROMOS application documents in soft and hard copy.

 

Program Documents

PROMOS funding requires the documentation of the stay abroad before the departure and after the return of the group. 

 

Before Departurefour weeks before departure at the latest

Travel Request & Field Trip Request Form >

If copies of travel request and field trip were not included in the PROMOS application, copies have to be submitted by post or e-mail 4 weeks before the field trip at the latest.  

List of Participants (planned)>

If a List of Participants was not included in the PROMOS application or if number of participants has changed, an updated list (without signatures) has to be submitted four weeks before the start of the field trip at the latest.

Participants then receive an invitation to register with our databank moveon and document their bank information. 


After Return (within eight weeks after return)

List of Participants (final)>

A final List of Participants must be submitted within 4 weeks after the field trip. All participants need to confirm their participation by signature.

Once the list has been submitted, the grant is transferred to the participants' bank accounts.

Report >

Objectives, schedule and learning outcomes of the field trip need to be summerized and evaluated in a short one- to two-page report. Digital copies may be sent by email.
