Attention! Timeline for university sports in the 2025/2026 winter semester:
- 13 October 2025 (from 10 a.m.):
Start of early bird booking for sports cards (€29 for students, €39 for staff, trainees and alumni) (Early Bird period ends on 15 November 2025) & booking of cooperation courses possible - 20 October 2025 (from 10 a.m.):
Start of booking for university sports courses & start of cooperation courses - 27 October 2025:
Start of university sports courses on campus
There will be no regular university sports courses during the following period:
- 01 December 2026 to 6 January 2026
Courses for the winter semester cannot be booked via the University of Siegen app, but only via the booking portal on the University Sports website.
How to participate in university sports:
- Bookings are made online via the university sports website.
- To participate in university sports courses, you must first purchase a sports card. This is a flat rate: with the sports card, you can book any university sports course at no additional cost.
- The sports card is valid for the entire semester, including the lecture-free period.
- Please note: there is no early bird sports card at the beginning of the lecture-free period. This offer is only available at the beginning of the semester.
- Registration for university sports courses then takes place on a weekly basis. This means you can always book your sports appointments one week in advance.
How to participate in cooperation courses:
- In addition to university sports courses, cooperation courses are also offered. These are courses run in collaboration with regional sports clubs and commercial sports companies. Cooperation courses usually take place at the sports organisation with their instructors.
- You only need to book these courses once, which gives you a fixed place on the course for the entire booking period. A participation fee is payable upon booking. You do not need a sports card to book cooperation courses.
- They can only be booked by students. All other groups of people have the option of purchasing a regular membership from the cooperating sports organisations.
