Start of degree program
In the bachelor's program for teacher education, the first semester of study must be the winter semester.
Proficiency in foreign languages
Teacher education generally requires documentation of proficiency in two foreign languages, which is usually done by submitting the university entrance qualification. Prospective students whose first language is a language other than German and have acquired their university entrance qualification in German only need to document proficiency in one additional language. The bachelor’s degree qualifying for teaching at high schools and comprehensive schools requires proficiency in additional languages as listed in the table for some subjects. Submitting the appropriate documentation is a general requirement for admission to writing the bachelor's thesis.
