Die Uni Siegen App ist da! Die offizielle Campus-App der Universität Siegen steht ab sofort im Google Play Store und im App Store kostenlos zum Download zur Verfügung.
„Ich freue mich sehr über den Start der Uni Siegen App. Die Anwendung ist ein bedeutender Schritt für eine moderne, digital vernetzte Bildungseinrichtung“, sagt Prof. Stefanie Reese, Rektorin der Universität Siegen. „Sie erleichtert unseren Studierenden die alltägliche Organisation und hilft dabei, immer informiert zu bleiben.“
Die Uni Siegen App ist der praktische Begleiter im Uni-Alltag mit einer Vielzahl an Funktionen – vor allem für Studierende, aber auch für Beschäftigte und Gäste. Ob News aus der Hochschule, Mails, Moodle, unisono, Stundenplan und Mensa-Speiseplan, Notenübersicht oder ausgeliehene Bücher der Unibibliothek im Überblick: Die App vereint all dies in einer benutzerfreundlichen Anwendung.
Der Newsfeed funktioniert wie bei bekannten sozialen Netzwerken, d.h. die Nutzer*innen können Profilen ihrer Wahl folgen. So erhalten diese nicht nur Neuigkeiten der Universität selbst, sondern z.B. auch von universitären Einrichtungen oder studentischen Initiativen.
Die App ist DSGVO-konform und wird in Kooperation mit UniNow angeboten. UniNow ist eine Ausgründung der Universität Magdeburg und arbeitet mit mehr als 80 Hochschulen im Hinblick auf Campus-Apps zusammen.

The Uni Siegen App is here! The official campus app of the University of Siegen is now available for free download in the Google Play Store and the App Store.
“I am very excited about the launch of the Uni Siegen App. The application is an important step for a modern, digitally networked educational institution,” says Prof. Stefanie Reese, Rector of the University of Siegen. “It makes everyday organization easier for our students and helps them stay informed at all times.”
The Uni Siegen App is a practical companion for everyday university life with a wide range of functions, especially for students, but also for employees and guests. Whether it is news from the university, emails, Moodle, unisono, the timetable and the cafeteria menu, an overview of grades, or the books borrowed from the university library: the app brings it all together in one easy-to-use application.
The news feed works the same way as popular social networks, allowing users to follow the profiles of their choice. This means that they receive news not only from the university itself but also from university institutions or student initiatives, for example.
The app is GDPR-compliant and is offered in partnership with UniNow. UniNow is a spin-off of the University of Magdeburg and works with more than 80 universities on campus apps.
