Jan Philipp Schneider M.Sc.

Biography

Jan Philipp Schneider is a Research Associate at the University of Siegen’s Computer Vision Group and a member of the DFG Research Unit "Learning to Sense". His work involves the development of machine learning models that incorporate physical system properties and structural constraints.

Between 2024 and 2025, Jan Philipp was a Visiting Student Research Scholar (VSRC) at Princeton University in the Computational Imaging Lab, where he worked on dynamic scene reconstruction and editing. Alongside his academic career, he has several years of experience as Software Developer and Data Scientist in the industry, focusing on predictive maintenance and explainable AI (XAI). He holds a Bachelor and Master of Science in Computer Science with a specialization in Artificial Intelligence from the University of Siegen.
