  • Visual Computing
  • Embedded Systems
  • Complex and Intelligent Software Systems

In all study foci, students benefit from the close collaboration between electrical engineering and computer science and a tight link to research projects conducted in both disciplines at the University of Siegen. For Embedded Systems, both disciplines contribute to courses related to key areas such as hardware/software design, computer architecture, and networks. In the context of Visual Computing, the close relation to imaging sensors is an essential added value, enabling applications like face detection, online range data processing with range cameras such as the Kinect. The Complex and Intelligent Software Systems (CISS) focus teaches how to design and build modern, intelligent software through analytical thinking, creativity, and teamwork.

The international master program in computer science is a consecutive study program. It builds upon a bachelor's program that conveys the necessary skills and expertise for the master program based on the content of the Bachelor program in Siegen.
