Charles Onuaha M.Sc.
Charles Okwudiri Onuoha is a doctoral researcher at University of Siegen, within the Chair of Embedded Systems. His PhD work focuses on real-time embedded computing for radiation imaging, with particular emphasis on hardware-accelerated algorithms for Compton camera processing and event reconstruction. He designs and optimizes high-throughput detection and fitting pipelines—combining classical geometric methods (e.g., Hough-based ellipse detection and RANSAC-style robust estimation) with hardware-aware optimization—targeting heterogeneous platforms such as FPGA/ACAP architectures and AI engines.
Research interests: embedded AI and high-performance embedded vision, FPGA/ACAP acceleration, real-time signal/image processing, robust geometric fitting (ellipses/lines), and end-to-end hardware–software co-design for imaging systems.
