The constant process of change and renewal has been the driving force behind the development and design of cities since the first settlements. Issues of the Great Transformation, climate change, digitalization and co-production are changing the way we deal with cities and the countryside. Old, linear design, planning and implementation processes are becoming circular, iterative communication processes. stdtb is the teaching and research area of urban design at the University of Siegen. It addresses the current challenges of urban and suburban development.
