On the 14th National Diversity Day, the University of Siegen officially launched its new Office for Equal Opportunity with a diverse program of events. Alumna Maria Popov provided a special highlight with her talk titled “From Siegen to the Media World: Perspectives of a New Generation.”

Since 1 May, central areas relating to health and safety at the University of Siegen have been reorganized. The new Executive Departments bundles structures and further strengthens cooperation.

Peter Kubior from the Ubiquitous Design working group in Business Information Systems and the Fab Lab of Schools III passed away on April 29, 2026 at the age of just 42. Our deepest sympathy goes out to his family and friends.

The University of Siegen is participating in the NRW state program "Reconciling work and care" and is thus sending a clear signal for care-sensitive working conditions. By signing the charter, the university is committing to providing targeted support for employees with care responsibilities.
