The Ethics Council of the University of Siegen supports researchers in the ethical consideration of opportunities and risks and evaluates research projects with regard to the protection of human dignity as well as the autonomy and self-determination of the participants.

Researchers must check the risk/benefit ratio and observe foreign trade regulations, such as export controls for dual-use goods. Support is provided by Department 1.3.
