Support for People from Crisis-Stricken Regions

Nearly 2,000 people from more than 100 countries are studying at the University of Siegen. Research would be unthinkable without the many international scholars. Some of these people and their families are currently affected by crises—political and economic crises, as well as conflicts in which human rights are being violated. Some live in regions facing climate disasters. In keeping with our university’s guiding principle, “Shaping a Humane Future,” we express our solidarity with all these people and wish to support them.

On this page, the University of Siegen has compiled a range of services for people from crisis-affected regions—for example, for refugees, asylum seekers, international students and researchers, as well as for all those who currently live in crisis-affected regions and wish to study, conduct research, or work in Siegen.
