Experience transfer - putting knowledge into practice

How can ideas from studies and research bring about real change? This is exactly what transfer is all about: together with companies, society, culture and public institutions, projects are created that make knowledge visible and applicable.

Whether practical projects or your own ideas - Transfer offers students the opportunity to gain experience outside the university, make contacts and actively help shape the future. Take the chance to contribute your knowledge, get to know new perspectives and make a practical impact during your studies.

Foundation

The Entrepreneurship Center at the University of Siegen supports students in developing ideas into real projects and start-ups.

Students benefit from workshops, coaching, funding advice, community events, networking opportunities, contacts and individual advice.

In addition, the Entrepreneurship Center organizes an incubator and accelerator program together with the regional start-up network Startpunkt57, in which (prospective) founders receive even more intensive support.

Regional economy

The economy in the region around the University of Siegen and in South Westphalia is one of the strongest industrial regions in Germany. Numerous innovative, often family-run companies characterize the region and offer students excellent prospects for internships, projects and career entry. However, the region not only has a strong industry, but also many social and cultural institutions. The close cooperation between universities, business and institutions creates ideal conditions for transferring knowledge directly into practice and making valuable contacts for the future.

The university region of the University of Siegen comprises the three federal states of North Rhine-Westphalia, Rhineland-Palatinate and Hesse. You can find more information here:
