In principle, all researchers employed at the University of Siegen who have completed their doctorate are eligible to apply. The specific eligibility requirements are defined in the respective calls for applications for each funding line. Selected funding lines are also open to external researchers. Applicants must also meet the eligibility requirements of the respective funding institutions and programmes to which they intend to apply and are responsible for checking these requirements in advance. If the eligibility requirements are not met, funding through IMPULS is excluded.
 

In principle, yes. However, the funding conditions of the respective funding provider or programme must be checked. Some funding programmes (e.g. the „DFG Eigene Stelle“ programme) exclude the submission of an additional third-party funding proposal.

In principle, yes. However, within the Individual Research Fund and Junior Research Group Fund, funding can only be awarded once per applicant. A maximum of one application may be submitted per funding line and call for applications.

Rejected applications may be resubmitted once. This does not apply to the Collaborative Research Fund, under which rejected applications cannot be resubmitted.

Yes. Applications may generally be submitted in English. If a presentation of the proposed project is required before the Research Commission, this presentation can also be given in English upon request.
