FAQ - The most important questions and answers
The first login to the Uni Siegen app is done with the access data of the ZIMT account, i.e. the g-number and the corresponding password. You may need to register for other services within the app, for example to activate the library function (unibib account), to integrate the timetable and the grading function (unisono account) or to use moodle.

First things first: The data is and remains at the University of Siegen - no data is passed on to third parties. The University of Siegen's white label app is GDPR-compliant. Data is retrieved directly from the University of Siegen's websites using web scraping, without providing an interface. All requests to the campus management system are made directly from the app, i.e. from the respective end device. This ensures that the access data is only sent to the university's website and is never sent to UniNow servers.
Organizations of the University of Siegen, student councils or student initiatives have the opportunity to manage their own profiles in the app. It is not possible for external organizations to create a profile. Profiles are approved by the Executive Departments Press, Communication and Marketing. It is necessary to send the following information to treude@presse.uni-siegen.de

- Desired display name in the app (maximum 30 characters): e.g. University of Siegen
- Desired user name in the app (maximum 30 characters): e.g. @unisiegen
- Contact person with real name
- Student or professional e-mail address
The UniNow team will contact you for all further steps. The Executive Departments Press, Communication and Marketing reserves the right to reject profiles.
Job vacancies can be found in the "Careers" section. Uninow cooperates with a large number of companies that advertise job vacancies and which are displayed in the app. Important: These companies do not receive any data from students.
